Does the 2021 BMW X1 Have any New Features?

Compared to the 2020 BMW X1, the 2021 model does not have any new features. If you are used to earlier model years of the second generation, the 2021 model does carry over all the updates and new features given to the 2020 models.

What New Features did the 2020 BMW X1 Receive?

To keep the X1 looking fresh, it got an update to its exterior styling, including a boost to the size of the signature kidney grille. Many interior features, including the 8.8-inch touchscreen, went standard for the 2020 model year, and some other features were rearranged by trim. These changes are hardly groundbreaking, but they don’t need to be. As a result, the 2020 and 2021 BMW X1 models are both parts of the highest evolution of the second-generation BMW X1.

Is the 2022 BMW X1 Getting any New Features?

At the time of this writing, no news of the 2022 BMW X1 has been released yet, but it is still very early in the year. While some automakers have been teasing 2022 model news since late 2020, BMW is sticking to a more traditional cycle of news updates. Considering that the second generation of the X1 began six years ago, BMW could be plotting a redesign for the X1, but this would be unlikely to happen unless the other X-series BMW SUVs were to follow. Some changes may come for 2022, but the only way to be sure is to wait and see.
