What Are the BMW 2 Series and BMW 3 Series?
The 2 Series and 3 Series vehicles are luxury sedans from BMW. The 2 Series is smaller and classed as a subcompact executive car. It might be the image in your head when you think of a BMW sedan. The 3 Series is a compact executive car, so it is a little bigger than the 2 Series, but it doesn’t exactly look that much different.
What are the BMW X1, X3, and X5?
The X in these models refers to the fact that these vehicles are crossovers. Think of the “X” as meaning “cross.” Just like with the 2 Series and 3 Series, the smaller the number, the smaller the vehicle. The BMW X1 is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV with five doors and a tight, sporty appearance. The BMW X3 is a compact luxury crossover SUV. In almost every way, the X3 looks like a stretched-out BMW X1. The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover with a bit more definition to its body lines and overall character than the X1 and X3.
