Exterior and interior design

You already know that BMW offers sophisticated craftsmanship in every aspect of the vehicle, and that will continue with the 8 Series Gran Coupe. The four-door body is sculpted with modern lines and sleek curves as if created by the wind itself. Its rear track, which is 65.8 inches, is the widest rear track of any vehicle in the BMW lineup. A panoramic moonroof comes standard, and it stretches all the way from the front windshield to the rear window, which will provide all passengers with ample light and a feeling of being out in the open. And speaking of the rear window, the multi-functional antenna is integrated right into the rear glass, which eliminates the need to mount it on the roof, allowing for an even more aerodynamic design that is also pleasing to the eye. The one-piece hexagonal BMW kidney grille will be flanked by standard Icon Adaptive LED Headlights with Laserlight to give it an even more confident fascia.

Because the 2020 BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe is designed to be more spacious, occupants will find plenty of room inside. Also found inside is an engaging blend of sporty excitement and luxury finishes. Nappa leather is featured on the dashboard and upper door panels. Heated front seats come standard, as does ambient lighting, and rear passengers will be able to use individual right and left climate controls, storage trays, and even USB-C ports.

Power

Under the hood of the BMW 840i and 840i xDrive Gran Coupe models is the new version of the BMW TwinPower 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder Turbo engine, which is capable of producing up to 335 horsepower and 368 lb-feet of torque. The M850i xDrive Gran Coupe model will be equipped with the latest BMW TwinPower 4.4-liter 8-cylinder Turbo engine, which is capable of a staggering 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.
