The 2023 BMW X5 comes standard with active blind spot detection. This feature uses sensors to monitor your blind spots for other vehicles. If another vehicle is detected, a warning light will appear on the corresponding side mirror. You can then use the turn signal to indicate that you are changing lanes safely. 

To help avoid or mitigate frontal collisions, the 2023 BMW X5 features a standard Frontal Collision Warning with City Collision Mitigation. This system uses sensors to detect vehicles and pedestrians in the path of the X5 and can alert the driver and even apply the brakes automatically if a collision is imminent. The system is designed for city driving, where pedestrian traffic and other potential obstacles are more common. 

The 2023 BMW X5 offers a Driving Assistance Professional package that adds features like adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, traffic jam assist, active lane-keeping assist with side collision avoidance, and front cross-traffic alert. These features use sensors and cameras to help keep the vehicle in its lane and at a safe distance from other cars on the road.
